Paris, France

Well we arrived here Paris without any problems. Over the past three days we have been here I have seen entirely different world. It is really awe inspiring and eye opening. The first day we arrived we were hot and very sticky from our travels. We just went out to dine at a sidewalk cafe and then walked around for a bit before heading back to the hotel and crashing.

The second day was very hot (90+) it was an awesome adventure. We went to the Louvre and saw the Mona Lisa among and the Venus de Milo (among many MANY other things). We then walked through the garden and up the equivalent of NYC's Broadway to  the oblisque  where many famous people we executed during the revolution and to Napolean's arch. We hopped on the Metro and headed over to the Eiffel tower. The view was absolutely breathtaking. it was very cool to be able to see everything that we had seen on foot from so far above.

On the second day we went to Notre Dame.  Then headed over to the Luxembourg gardens and had a picnic lunch in the gardens. We went to the Pantheon (where Napoleon was buried) and then headed to Monmatre to the Moulin Rouge. Both of us did a bit of dancing outside but were very surprised how small it really is.

Today we went to the Catacombs where millions of people are buried which was rather mind boggling. They ran out of cemetery room so they dug up all of the cemeteries and buried the people in a old quarry. We then headed back to Monmarte to the Basilica before having a lazy day spent at outdoor cafes enjoying the scene.

And tomorrow we head to Brussels at 11am...
